I have developed my career as a coach and mentor alongside a successful 15-year career as a scientist and healthcare management consultant. I have held senior positions in a variety of Research, Development and Technical roles within both SME and large organisations including NHS, Cabinet Office, BBC, Microsoft, Imperial College London, UCL, London Business School, Big Pharma and local government.
I have qualified in Coaching and Mentoring from the International Coaching federation and The Coaching Academy. I am an NLP Master Practitioner and hold a PhD in Neurosciences from University College London and an Executive MBA from London Business School.
I am also a DISC Practitioner. The deep insight gained from this cognitive assessment tool enables individuals and teams to understand their personal preferences and how these may differ from the preferences of others. This gives them the knowledge and confidence to operate at their best and to nurture more productive relationships.
My coaching style is personable, collaborative, low-key, yet purposeful - dedicated to supporting individuals realising their talent . The role of career coach fits my natural talents, experience, interests, and values. This wisdom has not come easily. I have had a couple career transitions, each time in pursuit of work that would find more fulfilling.
Over the past 15+ years, my career journey has taken me from academic Neuroscientist, to senior advisory roles in healthcare, local government and education, and now career coach. I have got there by practicing clear goal setting, purposeful reflection and building resilience.
I believe that the desire for growth and further development is intrinsic to each individual. I therefore support my clients to be courageous about the kind of purpose they want in their working lives via resilience resources and techniques to support them navigate their journey through uncertainty and avoid burn-out. Whilst my group workshops combine a human centric and compelling story with a message that allows delegates to achieve greater clarity about their goals and to accelerate their performance.
I support a number of corporate, healthcare, charities and educational bodies with career development and resilience programmes. In my spare time, I love walking in the green spaces of London. with my family, friends and cheerful dog as well as transfiguring my breathing by learning the flute and being part of the local Jazz Band.
I believe that the world is our oyster: discover what part you have to play in the world in which you live in and then go for it.
